Can residents of Louisiana, Arkansas, and Colorado be approved for an ESA?

Due to current state regulations, Support Pets is unable to process ESA letters for residents of Louisiana, Arkansas, or Colorado. These states have restrictions around telehealth or documentation requirements that limit our ability to serve those areas.

That said, Support Pets has teamed up with the International Canine Training Institute (ICTI), a leading provider of ESA certifications and service dog training in the U.S. If regulations in your state change or new options become available, we may be able to help in the future.

If you’re unsure about your eligibility, feel free to reach out to our support team. Most customers who do qualify receive their ESA letter within 24–48 hours after review by a licensed practitioner.

*CA, MT and IA residents: timelines will be longer as a minimum 30-day relationship between healthcare provider and patient is required.
