What are the new DOT regulations?
As you might know, the DOT recently changed federal guidelines regarding airline travel with support animals. The good news is that the new guidelines do not prohibit ESA-approved pets. However, the airlines are now allowed to charge additional fees for traveling with your pet. But just like any other change, we and our furry friends find ways to adapt. Remember, when traveling with pets, it is always important to have a well-behaved ESA and ensure they are up to date on required vaccinations. Since each airline updates its policies on a regular basis, it is best to check their website directly for guidance.
