My landlord is asking for a separate diagnosis and/or reasons for each pet.

Landlords are allowed to request documentation showing that each Emotional Support Animal meets a separate need. This is a common step when more than one ESA is involved, and it’s permitted under the Fair Housing Act.

Support Pets allows you to request more than one ESA. A licensed practitioner will evaluate whether each animal is necessary and, if so, include that in your ESA documentation. Please note: Support Pets only provides ESA letters for dogs and cats, and having multiple approved ESAs does not guarantee your landlord won’t ask for additional rules or fees.
